Moving
We’ve moved … again! This week’s move makes the second move since the end of March when we moved into the Waifu House.
These past several months have been busy with a lot of cleaning, sorting, disposing of, packing, and moving–all times two! It has been a time for all of us to realize how much things can be a hindrance. Azusa and I in particular have felt at times ashamed of how many unnecessary items we have collected over the years. Through these moves we are learning to live more simply as we consider what is necessary and what is superfluous.
Moving has also meant saying goodbye to our little doggy, Maisy (see the photo above): We had committed ourselves to saying goodbye to Maisy when we were still expecting to leave Japan before June. We did not think it would be right to ask her new owners-to-be to wait a year, nor did we think it would be kind to them to back out. Though we are all a little sad, we are pleased to hear that Maisy is thriving with her new owners.
Praise:
- for God’s continued provision: We were given two bags of vegetables just today! God has shown us day after day, week after week that He knows our every need, material and spiritual.
- for (and along the same lines) a lovely new home in the church building
- for the continued warm support of our church family, friends, and family as we try to move forward
Please Pray:
- for the continued spiritual growth of the members of our Japanese church (Siloam)
- for Azusa as she works with our children in a new environment for homeschooling
- for how Nathan uses his time–the time God has given him
- for Kei, Saki, Makoto, and Sho, that they would thrive during this time of waiting
- for Nathan and Azusa to share the gospel with boldness in every opportunity
- for continued provision
We thank you for your prayer support!
