Stratton Summer Update
For the three or four of you out there who read this page, we thank you for your patience. In the next few weeks we hope to get you up to date on some of the more important events, happenings, and changes here in our lives.
<<<<<<< HEADWe want to express our gratitude to all of you who gave of your time in prayer and of your financial resources to support our brothers, sisters, and friends in Sathupally, India at the Siloam Home for Orphans and Widows. The KO100 (see the facebook page here) was a great success, raising a grand total of just over $9,000 (USD)! Our church has sent a portion of it which was donated on the Japan side (approximately $1,000). We plan to sent the remainder in the coming weeks.
A huge “Thank you!” goes out to Norman Smith for his dedication and hard work. Below is a video of by the runner himself, Norman Smith.

As Norman mentions in the video, this is an ongoing work and the needs continue. Please see this page on the ABWE site for more information.

In spite of some discomfort and a sense of living in really weird times, we have had a particularly blessed several months. This includes a steady salary for me (Nate) as I returned to the same board of edcuation from which I resigned back in March of 2019 (for the purpose of starting pre-field in the United States). It also includes the completion of some important paperwork, a necessary step for obtaining a green card for Azusa, as well as a renewed sense of direction and purpose for both of us as we look ahead and try to become more effective in discipleship and in sharing the good news with those God has brought into our lives.
Praise:
- for the completion of the i130 form
- for every need met (spiritual, emotional, and material)
- for our renewed sense of purpose and direction
- for Nate’s new job and gift of a vehicle (a mini truck) for commuting and beyond
- for Kei’s hard work in completing an education hurdle
- for our children’s desire to grow in grace
Please Pray:
- for forward movement with the visa (on the U.S. side)
- for C., an institutionalized sister who is not able enjoy outside fellowship due to strict Covid-19-related regulations
- for our growth as parents
- for Nate, that he would trust the Lord and not procrastinate in performing anything pleasing to the Lord
We thank you for your prayer support!
