The Harvest is Plentiful
Personally, I (Nate) think that late September to mid-October is the most beautiful time of the year in Japan: The HIGANBANA (pronounced “he-gone-bonna”), beautiful red or sometimes white flowers on long green stems, line the borders of the golden rice fields. The air is clean and fresh; and puffy, white clouds float along in the deep blue sky. The temperature is pleasantly warm, and, unless there is a typhoon, it is sunny almost every day. It’s perfect weather to take a walk and look at the fields and orchards before, during, and after the harvest.

Today I took a short walk and was reminded of the Lord’s words:
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest." ( Luke 10:2 –ESV )
During my walk I took some video clips with my flip-phone–they still exist–and put together a short video asking for my brothers and sisters to pray for the workers. (Sorry for the low quality.)
Praise:
- for the workers already here
- for the workers on their way
- for those who are praying for the workers and for Japan
Please Pray:
- see the above
- for Azusa and me as we try to get her a green card
- for our children’s and our spiritual growth
- for continued spirtual growth in the Siloam Church members
We thank you for your prayer support!
